The park

Birds

A botanical garden that allows a close exchange with majestic flamingos, ibises from South America and Africa, spoonbills and many other bird species.

In Palmitos Park there is a great variety of these representatives: Wrinkled Hornbills, Siamese Double Hornbills and Silver-cheeked Hornbills.

House of Orchids

This area houses the largest collection of orchids in the Canary Islands. A magnificent garden consisting of dozens of varieties of orchids coming from tropical areas and – watch out! – even the Australian subsoil.

The largest in Europe. Hundreds of free-flying butterflies.

Aquarium

The Palmitos Park Aquarium also has another area dedicated to freshwater marine life.

In the first tank filled with saltwater, some of the most conspicuous and poisonous fish, such as the surgeonfish or scorpionfish, live together with some representatives of the most popular domestic fish, including the parrotfish.

Reptiles

Our lake is shared in perfect harmony by the spectacled caiman and the Canarian lizard – endemic species typical of Gran Canaria.

Here you can see the great predators of the marshes up close.

Mammals

Meerkats are small mammals native to the arid and rocky plains of South Africa.

The pygmy meerkat is the smallest monkey in the Old World. In our facility you can admire a pair of northern pygmy monkeys and a male from the south.

This friendly animal from South America belongs to the same family as raccoons – a relationship that cannot be denied simply because of its curled tail.

Live a unique experience with our dolphins.

Thanks to our educational program “Dolphin Encounter” you can make your dream come true and share fun and tender moments with our ambassadors of the oceans.

Each session of our program is limited to a maximum of 16 participants so that you can enjoy and get to know the dolphins in the best possible way.

At the end of the activity you can purchase photos of the dolphin encounter as a souvenir of an unforgettable day.
